Supertramp's journal is based on a true event - inspired by a diary written by Christopher McCandless, also known as Alexander Supertramp.   The journal was written during his tragic Alaska adventure and is using minimal number of words to describe his emotions and experiences. There are ten movements in the piece, each of them is Ivana Kis’s musical impression of one of Supertramp’s days. The visual component of the work is made by Liat Chen and Roy Shapira. They were inspired by selected quotes from Supertramp's diary and by the interpretation of classical guitarist Krešimir Bedek who recorded the piece. Liat Chen made paintings for each of the ten movements, and Roy Shapira used her paintings to make a video animation as part of the composition.
